Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was conceived in Minsk. Sergey, her father (who passed away in the year 2019), was an ice-hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka is a Belarusian born on 5th May 1998. Her professional career has seen her be the winner of 12 WTA singles championships, which includes the Grand Slam in the Australian Open of 2023. As a doubles specialist She also took home both the US Open of 2019 as well as in the Australian Open of 2021 with Elise Mertens. She also achieved the Sunshine Double in 2019, winning the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. The feat was achieved by four couples in female doubles. There were only four couples who were able to achieve this feat in women's doubles. The same year she won in Melbourne in the following year, and then moved up to number one in the world in doubles. Dmitry Tursunov coached her between 2018 and 2019, and also in the part of early 2020. She also briefly teamed up with Dieter Kindlmann from August to September of 2020. Her training has been provided by her countryman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova are her main inspirations.
